Hemet Little League - Youth Baseball Program Overview:

1. T-Ball (3 1/2YR - 5YR):

   • Beginner level baseball for young players.
   • Hitting off Tee.
   • Every player gets an at-bat and plays defense each inning.
   • No scorekeeping; emphasis on learning fundamentals.

2. Single A (5YR - 7YR):

   • Beginners division with Coach Pitch.
   • All players participate in each inning.
   • No scorekeeping; focus on understanding fundamental rules.

3. Double A (7YR - 8YR):

   • Semi-competitive/Instructional play.
   • Machine or Coach pitch (Player Pitch second half).
   • Umpire(s) & scorekeeper assigned; Scoring/Pitch Count/Standings in effect.
   • Introduction of structured rules; technical instruction.
   • Evaluation Required

4. Triple A (9YR - 11YR):

   • Competitive/Instruction Play with player pitch.
   • Umpire(s) & scorekeeper assigned; Scoring/Pitch Count/Standings in effect.
   • Players assigned positions.
   • Evaluation Required

5. Majors (10YR - 12YR):

   • LLWS Eligible; Competitive/Instruction Play.
   • Umpire(s) & scorekeeper assigned; Scoring/Pitch Count/Standings in effect.
   • 9 Player batting order with substitutions.
   • Minimum Play Required
   • Evaluation Required

6. Intermediate (50/70) (11YR-13YR):

   • Competitive/Instruction Play with full baseball rules.
   • 50 ft Pitching Distance / 70 ft Base Path Distance.
   • Umpire(s) & scorekeeper assigned; Scoring/Pitch Count/Standings in effect.
   • Minimum Play Required
   • Evaluation Required

7. Seniors (14YR - 16YR):

   • Competitive/Instruction Play with full baseball rules.
   • 60.5 ft Pitching Distance / 90 ft Base Path Distance.
   • Umpire(s) & scorekeeper assigned; Scoring/Pitch Count/Standings in effect.
   • Evaluation Required

8. Challenger - Little League Special Needs Division:

   • Tailored for participants with special needs.
   • Provides a supportive and inclusive baseball experience.
